Meet Angie

FOUNDER · VISIONARY · PHILANTHROPIST

Angie McLean grew up in Clearwater, Florida, graduated high school in 1983, then graduated from the University of Florida before moving to Tallahassee to open her first consignment store. With a passion for travel, culture, and self-expression, she later relocated to Atlanta in search of a bigger stage and big city opportunities.

In 1991, with little more than determination and vision, Angie launched what would become a defining chapter of her life — building a business from the ground up with a card table, 20 bins of secondhand clothing, and a shoebox for a cash register. Her instinct for style, paired with a deep understanding of people and individuality, quickly set her apart.

Angie is mother to 3 children and a red fox Labrador named Layla Love. Over the years, Angie has cultivated global connections, traveling to over 60 countries — allowing her to source unique, eclectic merchandise while staying on the cutting edge of ever-changing fashion trends. Her work has not only influenced Atlanta’s alternative fashion scene, but has also reached stylists, celebrities, and creatives across the country.

"Beyond business, Angie's greatest passion lies in her philanthropic work."

She is a co-owner of an orphanage in Uganda alongside her partner, Makowe Constantine, located in a village outside of Kampala. Through her success, she helps support the Constantine Legacy Foundation, which is dedicated to rescuing children living in extreme poverty.

In January 2025, Angela visited the orphanage she founded in Uganda, reinforcing her dedication to creating meaningful impact.

To date, the foundation has rescued 118 children, providing them with a safe home, clean water from a fresh well, and access and education to harvest crops on many acres of farmland for sustainable, healthy food. The children also receive an accredited education through on-site classrooms — offering them stability, opportunity, and hope for a future they would not have otherwise had.

For Angie, success has never been just about business —
it's about creating opportunity, uplifting others, and turning passion into empowerment, resulting in meaningful change.
